NATURE PROGRAMS TO BE HELD AT BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM BUS DEPOT GALLERY
The Brenham Heritage Museum is partnering with the Texas Master Naturalist – Gideon Lincecum Chapter to host a pair of nature programs.
The workshops will be held on Wednesday, August 5th and Wednesday, September 9th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Julie and Larry Tegeler Bus Depot Gallery.
The first program on August 5th will cover the nesting characteristics of birds common to Washington County. Ken English will go over nest box management and discuss lessons learned from providing supplemental shelter for songbirds.
The program on September 9th, presented by Tom Shaughnessy, will share strategies for supporting pollinators, including providing forage through native plants, creating nesting sites and shelters, ensuring water sources, and implementing land management practices.
The cost for the events is $15 per person, and entry is limited to 40 people. Lunch is included.
