BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE RAISES OVER $210,000 DURING VALENTINE BALL

The Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation-Brenham raised over $210,000 during the twenty third annual Valentine Ball on February 9th.

The “Shall We Dance?” themed ball was attended by 371 guests.

Director of Philanthropy, Margie Young, says over $210,000 was donated to the fundraiser, with all funding benefiting the $1.1 million dollar Rehab Project & Physicians Clinic.

The silent auction portion of the fundraiser featured local artists in various media, beautiful antique dinnerware, a game table and decorative accessories.

Donald Ahrens, the foundation’s auctioneer of choice for 19 years, conducted the live auction portion of the evening.

The auction consisted of opportunities to bid on everything from crawfish boils and Mexican fiestas to formal seated dinners. There was an exquisite handmade doll and a beautiful cedar trunk donated to the auction.

One of the foundation’s trustees gifted a signed and numbered Baccarat crystal horse sculpture for the event.

“We appreciate our community choosing Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation-Brenham for their donations and support, and for being a partner in building, sustaining and promoting quality local healthcare for our community” said Young.
