BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATING BURGLARIES

  

Brenham Police are investigating a pair of weekend burglaries.

Friday, around 5 p.m., Officer Ashley Burns was called to the 1500 block of Church Street to the burglary of a vehicle.

The caller said she had left her vehicle for approximately 15 minutes and when she returned several items had been stolen, including her purse, laptop, cash and keys.

While on location, the caller told Burns someone had used her credit and debit cards at a gas station on Highway 290 West.

Giddings Police said they had had a burglary and thought it was connected to this one, because items from Burns’ victim were located in Giddings.

Earlier, Friday, Cpl. Todd Ashorn responded to the 2000 block of FM 389 in reference to the burglary of a habitation.

The caller said someone had broken into the residence and stole a cellphone. Nothing else appeared to be missing.

Both incidents are under investigation.
