BRENHAM POLICE LOOKING FOR HELP WITH LOCAL THEFT

Brenham police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a theft that occurred back in March.

The theft occurred at Andrea’s Taco Shop at 1102 N. Park St. on March 23rd around 11:30 a.m.

A black male subject is wanted in connection with the theft of a donation jar that was on the counter at the business. Approximately $100 had been donated to assist with a lung transplant for a local Brenham woman.

“We’ve been following leads in this case since March and basically we’ve hit a dead end,” said Capt. Trey Gully.

“We realize this isn’t a huge amount of money but it’s the principle here. It was money donated for a woman needing a lung transplant – who knows, that $100 may have been just what they needed to get over the top. We are asking anyone who might have been at Andrea’s that morning, or who might recognize the description of the suspect and the suspect vehicle to contact us.”

According to the video from the business,  a black male wearing a white  tee-shirt and blue jeans is seen placing a newspaper over the donation jar and walking out with it. He was driving a green older model extended cab Dodge Ram and was accompanied by a middle-aged white female with dark hair. No license plate was visible on the truck.

Anyone having information about the theft or suspect can contact Det. Richard Bobbitt at 979-337-7370 or Sgt. Todd Jacobs at 979-337-7329.

  1. I’m sorry I don’t have any information to help bring this person to justice, but is there a way I could donate $10 to a fund for this woman? It’s not the $100 she lost, and I’m sorry I can’t do more, but it’s a start.

    1. Bless you! There is a donation jar for her at Las Fuentes and Nathan’s as well.
