BRENHAM POLICE MAKE D.W.I. ARRESTS

  

Brenham Police made a pair of DWI arrests over the weekend.

Friday night at 9:00, Officer Mickey Gressman and Sgt. Seth Klehm responded to the 2100 block of US 290 West in reference to a suspected drunk driver.

According to authorities, they arrested 30-year old Dustin Craig Jennings of Austin.

Witnesses says Jennings was driving erratically. When the officers stopped Jennings, they say they could smell the strong odor of alcohol on his breath.

Jenning failed a field sobriety test.

Eary Saturday morning, Officer Kejan Mehlhorn responded to the Jack-in-the-Box restaurant in the 400 block of US 290.

At the scene, Melhorn found 30-year old Joshua Wade Wiesepape of asleep in his vehicle in the drive through lane.

Mehlhorn says he could smell the strong odor of alcohol as he attempted to wake Wiesepape, who was unable to pass a field sobriety test.

  1. If your intoxicated and pull off the road or pass out or whatever if you take your keys out the ignition they can’t charge you with DWI, trust me on this one.

  2. Okay, people – He received the DWI because he was intoxicated at the drive through of a restaurant. Therefore, he had to have driven to the restaurant while intoxicated because I am certain he DID NOT become intoxicated after arriving at the drive through!! Hence, the DWI!!!

  3. I didn’t know you could get a DWI while your asleep at the wheel waiting in the drive thru, he actually wasn’t driving he was sleeping. Maybe they could get him for AATWDWWFAB asleep at the wheel drunk while waiting for a burger! Lol

  4. I may not know all the details, but I’m glad to hear that someone who is intoxicated still has enough sense to pull over and sleep it off.

    1. I don’t think he pulled over he was in the drive through waiting to get food and fell asleep lol
