EIGHT SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Two Brenham men were sentenced to prison time in the latest session of the 21st Judicial District Court.

46-year-old Jason Wade Holle, of Brenham, was sentenced to four years in prison on each of two counts of sexual assault of a child. Holle will also have to register as a sex offender upon release from prison.

Mitchell Ray Wilson, age 38, of Brenham, was sentenced to three years in prison for not registering as a sex offender, with a previous conviction.

In other news from the court:

48-year-old Lynda Ann Barrera, of Prairie View, was sentenced to eight years in prison for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

51-year-old Tom Nelson Smith, of Washington, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for theft less than $2,500 with two previous convictions.

Cha Cha Shaniece Mitchell, age 38 of Bryan, was sentenced to three years in prison for injury to a child-a third degree felony.

37-year-old Hector Longoria, of Houston, was sentenced to 356 days in jail for possession of a controlled substance.

Terrance Moore, Age 32, of Chappell Hill was sentenced to two years in jail, probated four years for possession of a controlled substance.

Anthony Anderson, age 23, of Bellville was sentenced to three years deferred adjudication probation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from an incident September 5th 2015.

  1. Two counts of child molestation and only get 4years,wow it depends on who you are how much time you will get I Brenham!

  2. Looks like the judges are telling us that your better off being a child molester and a thief, than having a few illegal drugs in your possession. The sentences seem backwards to me.

    1. Michael, that’s not how I read this. It looks like each case is being evaluated on the facts of each case and not just lumped into one sentence for each type of crime. I’ve read these same judges give hundreds of years to child molesters and probation to people with drugs, so I think it’s a good thing that we don’t see the same exact sentence for each person charged with a crime. It means the judicial system works.

      1. I read this as the judge was having a bad day and started sending everyone to prison. Punishments all seem harsh if u ask me. But I’m no judge.

    2. Michael I agree with you he had 2 counts and I’ve seen many time on here where child molesters gotten only a few years of probation but than drug dealers get up to life in some cases.. and not only in brenham but many cities in Texas.
