HEB BEEF RECALL

  

There is news from the HEB  grocery store chain that may affect your 4TH Of July barbecue.

The store chain has announced a recall of numerous beef products.  Brenham HEB meat market manager Dennis Reimer said they pulled off all the recalled products when they received notice about the recall at about three Wednesday afternoon.  

The recalled products include sealed products with sell by dates of July 4th.  These are Hill Country Fair beef fajitas, HEB  seasoned beef fajitas, Mi Comida  beef skirt steak fajitas, and Texas BBQ Rub Style beef skirt steak.

Also being recalled is beef stew meat with sell by date of June 24th, retail vacuum sealed packages with sell by date of June 27thj and HEB Seasoned beef for carne guisada.

The stew meat with sell by dates of June 9th and June 28th are also being recalled along with tenderized stew meat.

HEB Group Vice- President for Public Affairs Winell Herron released a statement saying they are committed to the highest standards of food safety for their customers.  He went on to say they will take every precaution to ensure the safety of the products in their stores..
