KIDS’ DAY HEALTH EVENT SET FOR THURSDAY AUGUST 7TH

Scott & White Healthcare Brenham has announced the date for its annual “Kids’ Day” health event to help get kids ready for the start of school.

For the 18th year, Scott & White Healthcare Brenham will host “Kids’ Day” on Thursday, August 7th.  This year’s event will be held at Brenham’s Fireman’s Training Center from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.  “Kids’ Day” is a chance for children to get free health screenings and immunizations in a fun atmosphere.   Immunizations will be available only to eligible children. The requirement for eligibility is:  no insurance, currently Medicaid Enrolled, or of Alaskan or Native American Descent.  Also, there is a $15 administration fee regardless of how many vaccines are given.

Parents can register to win free car seats, visit informational booths and enjoy refreshments while the kids play in a bounce house and make crafts.  Cheerleading and Tae Kwon Do demonstrations will keep everyone entertained, along with some special singing guests.

Members of Brenham’s Scott & White Healthcare Team will be available to meet with parents and kids about the health and wellness services they offer.  Radio stations KWHI 1280 and sister station KTEX 106.1 will both be broadcasting live from “Kids’ Day” on Thursday, August 7th.  More information is available at Brenham.sw.org.
