FALL BACK AND CHECK SMOKE ALARMS

  

This is the weekend we fall back to standard time.  At two Sunday morning the time will suddenly be one am.

Brenham Fire Marshal Alan Finke says this is a good time to check the batteries on your smoke alarm.  Finke  says the National Fire Protection Associations advises that while you are resetting your clocks just change the batteries on your smoke alarm.

Finke says every home should have several smoke alarms, especially in the bedrooms and the batteries ought to be changed at least once a year.
