MAN INJURED IN EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT NEAR BURTON

  

At least one man was injured and traffic had to be diverted on highway 290 west after a one car traffic accident near Burton early this (Thursday) morning.

Reports from Washington County emergency communications say a man ran off the road near the 15,000 block of Memory Lane about two miles east of Burton at 4:30am.  Drivers were directed to the shoulders of the highway while the accident scene was being cleared.  EMS crews were dispatched to the scene for a man reportedly bleeding from his head. There may be further injuries.

The accident remains under investigation..
