AGGIES REMEMBER BONFIRE COLLAPSE
Aggies are remembering a grim anniversary today (Monday).
It was this date, November 18th, 1999, when the nearly century old tradition of Aggie Bonfire came to a horrifying end.
At 2:42am, the massive structure collapsed, killing 12 Aggies and injuring 27.
No Bonfire has been held on the Texas A&M campus since then and a memorial has been constructed to be remember the horror.
Thousands gathered at the A&M campus early this (Monday) in a pre-dawn candlelight vigil to remember the victims.
