MAN RETURNS HOME TO FIND MAJOR THEFTS
A Brenham man returned to his home in the 800 block of Durden Street Tuesday after he had been gone for three weeks, only to discover that someone had taken up temporary residence in his house and stolen many expensive items.
Brenham police reports say the man had left his house on January 6th and discovered the incident.
He first saw his older model Dodge Caravan was gone. Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered that vehicle in the rural areas of the county.
The man discovered that a motorcycle, at least two televisions, a washer and dryer, some copper wiring in the attic and an Xbox had all been stolen. Police reports indicate that the culprits had spent several days staying at the residence.
The investigation continues.
