LA GRANGE HOSTS BEST LITTLE COWBOY GATHERING
The 6th Annual Best Little Cowboy Gathering begins tomorrow (Thursday) at the Fairgrounds in La Grange.
Cathy Chaloupka of Rural Texas Tourism says this is the way to introduce the life of the cowboys to people living today. She says there is much for everyone to enjoy and learn.
Chaloupka says there is a who’s who of stars, including Red Steagall, Queebe Sisters, Jake Hooker and the Outsiders, the Survivors, There is also a Fiddle Extravaganza,
The celebration kicks off Thursday, from 7 to 11pm as the Survivors are showcased. The fun continues Friday at noon with Rocky King Band performs inside the dance hall and at four pm.
Old and young alike will enjoy Blacksmith Demonstrations, Chuck Wagon Exhibits, Cowdog shows, Cowboy Camp, Dutch Oven demonstrations and western arts and crafts.
You can get Chuck Wagon Tacos Saturday beginning at 9am. Then they will have Dutch Ovens Demonstrations at 10am.
