TWENTY-ONE YEAR OLD CHARGED IN SXSW HORROR
A 21-year old Killeen man has been charged with capital murder in Austin after he allegedly created a horrible scene at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, just past midnight (Thursday).
Rashad Charjuan Owens, suspected drunk driver was speeding away from a traffic stop on a Interstate 35 access road, headed the wrong way on a one-way street and into an intersection crowded with people coming out from a late night concert.

At least two people were killed and at least 23 were injured once the driver turned onto Red River and onto 11th Street. The two fatalities, 27-year old Jamie Ranae West from Austin and 35-year old Stven Craemehr from the Netherlands. Two of the injured remain in critical condition.
Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo says Owens is being charged with capital murder because his was an ‘intentional act.
