MARCH A BIG BUILDING MONTH FOR BRENHAM
A major office complex and housing construction continues to play a significant part in the current building boom in Brenham.
The City issued $4.2 million in building permits in March. In figures released today (Tuesday) from the city of Brenham a $2.9 million permit was issued for Seidel, Schroeder and Company for a new office structure in the 2700 block of South Market.
City Building Inspector Alan Jacobs says the housing construction in Brenham continues to rise. The permit for the most expensive home in the city is in the 2400 block of Hill Street, where a permit for $244,000 house.
The city topped $9.3 million for the building permits issued so far this year. The city issued a total of 31 permits in March.
