BRENHAM CLINIC CELEBRATES NATIONAL NURSES WEEK

  

Brenham Clinic Administrator Grace Slattery says they are celebrating National Nurses Week by recognizing the men and women who play an integral part in the health care profession.

 

Today (Tuesday), the nurses at the Brenham Clinic are attired in historic nursing uniforms, including that of Florence Nightingale.

Ms. Slattery says Nurses Week begins today (Tuesday) then runs through May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the woman most credited with creating the modern nursing profession.

Slattery says the current nursing staff at the Brenham Clinic has a combined 492 years of service years.    There are over three million nurses in the nation but she says they are always in short supply.
