The County Commissioners also changed some of the purchasing policies for county officials. Precinct Two County Commissioner Luther Hueske said this was a good way to save on a lot of paper work. Washington County Judge John Brieden says the county workers needed more lee way in making purchases. The new resolution will make it easier for lower level purchases to be made without getting approval from a county official or to go out for a competitive bid.
The Washington County Commissioners also agreed to the purchase of a lapt computer and bail bond tracking material. These items would be used to backup the bail bond account funds. Precinct Three Justice of the Peace Roy May said the current computers have gone down and the new computer no longer has the software to keep these records.
