LAKE SOMERVILLE DAM LAKE FEST
This year’s Lake Somerville’s Dam Lake Fest has just about everything for everyone.
The Welch Park festival Saturday, features a barbecue cookoff, a fun run and walk, a beach volleyball tournament, washer pitching and a classic car show all to be capped off with a spectacular fireworks display.
With so much going on they have to get started early. The park opens at 8am this Saturday. The fest goes well into the night with music from Sam Riggs and the Night People, Brandon Jenkins, Brandon Rhyder.
The admission is $10 for anyone over 12 and $5 for ages five to 12. The proceeds benefit the Somerville Police Department and the , the SAAMS House and efforts to put a tornado siren in for Somerville Nicole Ofczenarak says they were just looking for a good family fun time at the park.
The Dam Lake Fest also features lots of arts and crafts booths, plenty of food vendors and the Darn Kids Water Stuff. .
