GIDDINGS MOVIE PRODUCTION PLANS UNDER WAY

  

A film project about the story of the early development of Texas will be focusing on the areas of Brenham, Giddings and San Antonio.

Film producer Roy Burger has been searching for locations in Washington County, including the City of Brenham and the Brenham school district for production site properties that would be available for use. 

Once headquarters have been established, Burger will then begin looking for possible indoor studio, and other improvements to the property. He has already dome some preliminary scouting for sets in Washington County, and most will be done in Washington and Lee Counties

The project will closely follow THE BURNING OF BRENHAM, a book by Sharon Brass, and will be based on additional research and writings from the Giddings families of Texas.

Burger also said that he wanted to make sure Washington and Lee counties benefit from this project, by having some open auditions for local actors. Everyone who wants to participate will be welcomed.
