BPD INVESTIGATE BURLARY; MAKE DRUG ARREST

  

 Brenham Police are investigating the burglary of a vehicle this morning at 3:55am

Office Hunter Andras was dispatched to the 2400 block of Stone Hollow Dr. in reference to a burglary of a vehicle.

The caller said that someone had broken into his vehicle during the night.

The driver side window had been broken out, but nothing appeared to be missing

 

 

One person was arrested for Thursday morning for marijuana possession.

Cpl. Tommy Kurie was working traffic on U.S. 290 E when he observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed.

He initiated a traffic stop in the 2200 block, and as Kurie approached the vehicle, he could smell the strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

The driver, eighteen year old Shauna Lee Betancourt, admitted to having marijuana in her vehicle.

She was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail, charged with Possession of marijuana under 2 oz.
