BRYAN POLICE HELP DISMANTLE KYLE FIELD AHEAD OF DECEMBER IMPLOSION
Bryan police helped remove nearly 7,000 seats on Friday from Kyle Field to get ready for the December 21st implosion of Kyle Field draws closer.
Bryan police helped unbolted, lifted, set down chairs, and end up doing this several thousand times. They were paid per seat removed, and all of the money went to a scholarship fund for the children of the employees of Bryan police staff.
The department will receive $4500, and that money will go into the scholarship fund, pushing them closer to their goal of $25,000.
The vice-president of The Bryan Police Officer Association Sgt. Jon Andrew says that the work is gratifying and the salary is adequate, but that it is not a lot of money, and feels that the scholarship will help the students get started with expenses such as books or lab and parking fees.
For more information, or to help support the scholarship fund, you may call the Bryan Police Department at 979-209-5300 and ask to speak to Sgt. Lance Matthews of Sgt Jon Agnew
