COLORADO COUNTY DEPUTY SANTA PROGRAM UNDERWAY
The Colorado County Sheriff’s office has announced that the Deputy Santa Program is underway for 2014.
The search is underway now for information on underprivileged children throughout Colorado County who may benefit from the program.
Last year’s program was a huge success, with over 500 gifts were distributed to underprivileged children, and Colorado County Sheriff R. H. Wied hopes to make this year another overwhelming success.
The program provides gifts for children between the ages of infant through 12 years old.
Anyone wishing to donate to the Deputy Santa Program may drop off a new, unwrapped toy at the Colorado County Detention Center in Columbus, or donations may be left off at donation boxes at Walmart, Beall’s Family Dollar and Dollar General Stores in Columbus, Weimar, and Eagle Lake.
Donations will be accepted until Tuesday, December 9th.
For more information on the program. Contact Sgt. Jeff Argo at 979-732-2388 ext. 238.
