POLICE INVESTIGATING WEEKEND BURGLARIES
Brenham Police are investigating a pair of weekend burglaries.
Officer Kevin Mertz was called out Saturday morning, just before 6:30 to the 100 block of East Airline Drive.
The caller said his power washer was missing from his garage.
The power washer was valued at $250.
Then, Sunday afternoon, just before 2:00, Mertz responded to an alarm at Cash Station Pawn Store in the 2200 block of US 290 East.
Communications said several motion sensors located inside the building were activated.
Sgt. Curtis Schoen located the point of entry and jewelry was found on the ground on the outside of the building. Officers located a possible trail left behind by the suspects.
An unknown amount of jewelry was stolen, however some of it was recovered at the scene.
