HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES THIS SUMMER TO FEATURE OLD AND NEW BANDS

The wildly popular “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert series returns to Historic Downtown Brenham this summer with two old favorites and one new band.

“Suede”, one of Texas’ premier cover bands out of Austin, will open the concert series on Saturday night, July 11th.  Traci Pyle, Chairman of the Brenham Main Street Board, explains why there will only be three “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concerts this summer.

“Suede”, which is always a crowd favorite at “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes”, is being sponsored by Budweiser – Mike Hopkins Distributing, J&A Roofing – Jon & Amber Westerfeld, Citizens State Bank, and by C. Michael Altman Family and Cosmetic Dentistry.

On July 18th, the Beatles and Eagles tribute bands “Abbey Rode” and “Already Gone” will take the stage.

“Abbey Rode” and “Already Gone” are sponsored by Bank of Brenham, Woodson Lumber Company, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative and by Branded Boutique.

A band new to “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” will close things out on Saturday night, July 25th…..“Molly & the Ringwalds”.

“Molly & the Ringwalds” are sponsored by Seidel, Schroeder and Company, Brenham National Bank, Spiess Germania Insurance, and Paul LaRoche III D.D.S.

For the eleventh straight year, Brenham Main Street will host the concerts free to the public from 7 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday July 11th, 18th and 25th.  The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and to support the food and drink vendors downtown.  The only money raised for downtown projects is through the sale of beer and other beverages from the Brenham Main Street Historical Preservation booth at the corner of Alamo and Baylor streets.  The Stray Katz Car Club will be showing off their custom and antique cars and hotrods on the streets during the concerts.
