POLICE SEND MURDER INVESTIGATION TO D.A.’S OFFICE

Brenham Police are investigating three people they’re calling “persons of interest” in the murder of a Blinn College student in Brenham last October.

20-year-old Trey Alan Kurtz was found shot to death at the intersection Seelhost and Dark Streets near downtown Brenham around midnight on October 30^th.

Police believe he may have been on his way to a party when he was murdered.  Kurtz, a native of Houston was 20.

Brenham Police Captain Trey Gully says investigators have completed their investigation and have turned he case over to the district attorney’s office.

Back in November, then police chief Rex Phelps said investigators believe the killer or killers were acquaintances of Kurtz.

Authorities will not release the names of the three ‘persons of interest’ in the case until indictments are returned.
