BASTROP LOST PINES FIRE NOW 50 PERCENT CONTAINED
The Hidden Pines fire that has burned approximately 4,582 acres and destroyed forty-eight structures as of Friday evening and is now 50 percent contained, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service
Bastrop County officials now report that the wildfire may have been caused by a farming shredder.
The fire, which began on Tuesday, has hampered firefighters with low humidity and windy conditions.
There is hope that firefighters may get some help coming next week. Beginning on Tuesday, the outlook for rain is increasing, and by Thursday, there is a 50 percent chance of rain, according to the weather service.
