The Blinn College Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday at 6:30pm to authorize the Administration to negotiate for Professional Services related to the Geotechnical Investigations, testing and surveying services required for the platting and construction phase of the new Kruse Recreation Center on the Brenham campus.

On October 6th, the board approved construction of the Kruse Recreation Center, a 36,000-square-foot student recreation and activities facility that will include space for general fitness, dance and yoga, kinesiology classes, student organization meetings, weightlifting and fitness space and multi-purpose rooms for community events and meetings. In addition, the Center will feature a gymnasium to host Buccaneer volleyball and basketball games as well as high school playoff games and will host summer camps to increase campus activity in the summer months.

The Board will also see a presentation by Specialized Public Finance, Inc., concerning the sale of $10 million bank qualified bonds for the construction of the Bryan West Campus. The date for the delivery has been set for December 15th of this year.

After the Action portion of the meeting, the Board will go into closed session to discuss the District President Recommendation for selection of Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

The Blinn College Board of Trustees will meet on the third floor of the Administration Building on the Blinn Brenham campus.
