WINNERS OF THE DOWNTOWN SCARECROW EXTRAVAGAZA ANNOUNCED
The winners from the 2015 Scarecrow Extravaganza have been announced. The scarecrows were displayed in different areas around downtown Brenham.
The winners are:
Best Overall, winner of $250 and sponsored by KTEX/KWHI, was “Brenham-One in a Minion”, displayed by Walcik Construction.
Silliest winner of $150, and sponsored by Dona Lynn’s Unique Gifts, is “Sponge Bob Scarepants”, displayed by Kristie Wolf – Krause Elementary.
Best School Spirit, winner of $150 and sponsored by Bar B Boutique, is “We All Fit Together”, displayed by Grace Lutheran Early Childhood.
Most Educational, winner of $150, and sponsored by Day Star Christian Book Store, was “Buddy”, and was displayed by Down Syndrome Kids.
Most Creative, winner of $150, and sponsored by Must Be Heaven, was “Ranger S Crow”, displayed by Nails Creek State Park.
Cutest, winner of $150, and sponsored by Branded Boutique, was “Texas Brigades Minions”, displayed by Reid Aschenbeck and Conner Himly.
Fanciest, winner of $150 and sponsored by fancy that!, was “Heavenly Dreams of Blue Bell”, displayed by St. Paul’s Christian Day School.
People’s Choice, winner of $150 and sponsored by Main Street Brenham, was “Officer Crime Stopper”, displayed by the Boys and Girls Club.
Honorable Mention, winner of $50 and sponsored by Main Street Brenham, was “Welcome Wagon Wanda”, and was displayed by Washington County Chamber and CVB.
Also Honorable Mention, winner of $50 and sponsored by Main Street Brenham, was ”Katrina”, displayed by the Brenham Fine Arts League.
