COMMUNITY EDUCATION BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT CONTINUES DESPITE RAIN

  

Despite the rain, the Community Education Building Beautification Bonanza is still scheduled from 8:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday.

If the rain continues during this time, work will be done on the inside.

The Brenham Community Education Building, built in 1927, and is the only remaining historic building in the oldest school district in Texas. Brenham ISD turned 140 years-old this year, and the Community Education building has been a staple of education in our community for nearly 90 of those years.

Lowes, with their HEROS Program and Sherwin Williams are working together to provide the paint and the plants for the landscaping, as well as other sponsors such as All Seasons Landscape, Glasco & Co, Royers Pie Haven, Brenham Heritage Museum and the Washington County Healthy Living Association Senior Activity Center. The Marine Corp JROTC will also be participating in the event

There will be activities for the entire family or group, so visit www.brenhamcommunityed.com/bonanza to fill out the registration form to help prepare your group in advance.

There will be on-site tutorials from local businesses for those who want to learn how to paint, prep, clean, or landscape.
