BRENHAM ISD TO DISCUSS BRENHAM ISD GOAL NUMBER FOUR
Brenham ISD Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson has met with all three elementary schools this week to discuss the proposed plan to meet Brenham ISD District Goal No. 4.
The Brenham ISD Strategic Plan was developed last fall by the BISD Strategic Planning Committee. The committee, comprised of BISD staff members and administrators, community members, parents and a Brenham High School student, developed the following district goals:
1. BISD will provide a coordinated curriculum that is implemented through effective instructional practices.
2. BISD will develop responsible, respectful, and collaborative citizens.
3. BISD will provide a safe and secure environment at all BISD facilities.
4. BISD will balance the demographics on all elementary campuses.
5. BISD will attract and retain quality staff.
The Brenham ISD Board of Trustees and Dr. Jackson are working together on a plan to meet strategic goal No. 4 to support the success of all children in the Brenham ISD community.
The district will use a computerized selection process, based on logic set forth by the district.
This plan will only impact students new to the district and students entering prekindergarten and kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year. Currently enrolled students will not be impacted by this plan.
