BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WINS WRITING CONTEST
A Brenham High School student was one of only two students in Texas to win a writing contest.
Alyssa Faykus was one of only two students in the entire state of Texas chosen from a playwriting contest.
Alyssa's play, her first, is entitled "Lost and Found" will be presented to the state this weekend at Texas Thespians Festival.
Faykus is a senior and currently troupe 1315's President. She has been highly involved in the BHS Theatre Department, Cub Company during her high school career.
Faykus plans on attending Stephen F. Austin State University next fall.
