LOCAL BARREL RACER HEATING UP AT N.F.R.
A Carmine Barrel Racer is on a roll at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, currently underway in Las Vegas.
Taylor Jacob, the 2013 national finals Rookie of the Year has made three-straight top-four rides after a slow start in the first two rounds.
Jacob opened Thursday, with a 13th place finish of :19.06, and followed that with an :18.79 which placed her 12th.
But in the third go-around Saturday night at the Thomas and Mack Center, Jacob took first in a time of :13.77.
She followed that up with back-to-back fourth-place finishes of :13.89 (Saturday) and :13.76 (Sunday).
Jacob has earned $48,231 so far at the NFR. She is currently sixth in the world standings with earnings of $138,739.
Taylor is the daughter of Lane and Robyn Jacob of Carmine.
The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo continues through this Saturday.

Taylor Jacob tied for first Tuesday night in the sixth go-around with a time of :13.91, earning another $23,481.
Jacob’s total for the NFR now stands at $71,712.
She is now fifth in the World Standings with $162,220 in earnings.
