BRENHAM P.D. MAKES FOUR POSSESSION ARRESTS
Brenham Police made a number of drug possession arrests Monday.
Just before 10:30 a.m., Officer Hunter Andras conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of US 290 West. During a search of the vehicle, marijuana was located.
The driver, 17-year old Donnie Lee Beamon of Bleiberville was charged with Possession of marijuana.
Around 11 a.m., Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Clinton. During the stop, the driver admitted to having marijuana in the car.
47-year old Tonya Elizabeth Evans of Brenham is charged with possession of marijuana.
Monday afternoon, Officer Andras responded to the 2600 block of Cheyenne in reference to a welfare call.
The caller said her son appeared to be on drugs and was combative.
When Andras met with the subject, he saw methamphetamines on the table.
17-year old Jalen Christopher Herndon of Brenham is charged with Possession of a controlled substance.
And, Monday night, Sgt. Justin Schiller was leaving a parking lot in the 200 block of US 290 East when he noticed a family unable to get into their vehicle because of one parked too closely next to it.
As Schiller attempted to locate the owner, he noticed what appeared to be marijuana in the open center console.
After locating the owner, Schiller conducted a probable cause search during which marijuana was found.
The driver of the vehicle, 28-year old Joe Jesus Martiez, was arrested and charged with Possession of marijuana.
