The 61st annual Washington County Spelling Bee set for tonight at 6:00 pm in the Alton Elementary School Cafeteria.

The caller for the spelling bee will be retired Brenham ISD teacher,Diana Hodde.  Judges will be Kathleen Bedrich, Tammy Lehmann, and Leigh Linden.

The top three spellers will receive cash prizes from KWHI and will advance to the regional bee in College Station on Saturday, February 13.

The public is invited to attend or listen to tonight’s broadcast on  KWHI, sponsor of the Spelling Bee.
