BRENHAM POLICE CHARGE TWO IN DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

Two Brenham residents face charges including arson and assault resulting from a domestic disturbance Thursday night.
Just before 11:30 p.m., Officer Jose Perez responded to the 700 block of Eleanor Dr.
While he was en route local dispatch informed him there was a fire reported at that residence.
A man and woman were standing outside the house when Perez arrived, and confirmed there was a fire in the kitchen.
Perez found a piece of plywood on the stove on fire. He was able to put the fire out.
Both subjects, 17-year old Kashirra Shaunte Offing and 20-year old Deiontay Daquwan Smith, made allegations of a physical confrontation.
Offing also said she placed the plywood on the stove on purpose.
Offing is charged with Arson and Aassault family violence. Smith is charged with Assault causing bodily injury family violence.
