BRENHAM P.D. RECEIVES SCOTTY’S HOUSE AWARD

  

The Brenham Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division has received a prestigious award.

The CID has been named the MDT Agency of the Year by Scotty’s House, a non-profit organization that provides a safe environment for children who are victims of sexual crime.

The CID is part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes local law enforcement, Children’s Protective Services, Scotty House and local prosecutors as well as those in the Brazos Valley region.

Shannon Hernandez, the Director of Programming for Scotty’s House, said that the detective team was being given the award for their outstanding investigative work and support of Scotty’s House programs.

CID Captain Trey Gully said the division is “…honored by the award. We feel that we have a very good working relationship with Scotty’s House as we do with all of our agencies. Ms. Hernandez included Angela Hahn, our public information officer, in the award, thanking her for her assistance in getting information out”.

Gully said he firmly believes, “…that a multi-disciplinary team approach in investigating crimes ensures the best services to the victims and assists in a faster resolution in a case.”
