CITY BOARD RE-APPROVES BLINN HOUSING REQUEST
The Brenham City Board of Adjustments – for the second time approved a request concerning housing at Blinn College, last night.
The board officially approved a height variance request for a new $32-million 4-story housing project on the Blinn campus.
The board originally approved the request earlier this month, but voted once-again because of access problems at City Hall.
The board also approved a request for special exception to allow 210 on-site parking spaces and 75 off-site spaces for the student housing project.

As a Law Student I am behooved when one government entity gerrymanders their rules and regulations to create a bias set of rules for another part of the government or special interest group. It saddens me that our Mayor, City Council, City Manager, City Attorney, City Planner, City Engineer, Blinn College President, Blinn Board; are all in Cahoots to allow this large of a development that is not in accordance to the City of Brenham Development Regulations. The Integrity of the City’s Regulations have Once and Forever been Compromised. A Precedence has been Engraved in Stone. The Public’s Trust has been Forever Lost. Each of You have All Failed the Test of Personal and Professional Integrity. You have Lost the Trust of the Taxpayers. You are Bad Examples of Stewardship. You have Set an Example of What I Never Will or Want to Become.
