FORMER BRENHAM VET TO GO BEFORE STATE BOARD

  

A former Brenham veterinarian is scheduled to meet with the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, today (Thursday).

Dr. Kristen Lindsey, created a social media storm when she posted a picture of herself holding a dead cat with an arrow through its head on her Facebook page, last summer.

Today's (Thursday) mediation will address whether or not to revoke Dr. Lindsey’s license.

Lindsey was fired from her job and ignited outrage from animal rights activists.

The Austin County Grand Jury heard the case In June, and declined to indict Lindsey.

In her Facebook post, Lindsey says the cat was a feral cat that had been making a pest of itself.  Some claim the cat was a neighbors’ pet, whose owners claim, went missing.

If an agreement is not reached, the case could go to an administrative hearing sometime in the future.
