BURTON HERITAGE SOCIETY PRESENTS TEXAS RANGER DAY

The Burton Heritage Society is hosting Texas Ranger Day this afternoon (Saturday) at the Railroad Depot at 507 North Railroad Street in Downtown Burton.

Stephanie Jarvis with the Burton Heritage Society says the event will kick off at noon and will feature activities including gun-slinging re-enactments, old fashioned games, and crafts.

Also going on at Texas Ranger Day will be local shopping, a silent auction, tours of the depot and cotton gin, and music from Kountry Chick DJ.

Admission into the event is free but meal tickets for all-you-can-eat fajitas and beans are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 10.

Children under 5 eat for free. All proceeds will go towards the restoration of the Historic Mount Zion Chapel.
