NAVASOTA MAN FACES FEDERAL CHILD PORN CHARGES

  

Federal charges have been filed against a Navasota truck driver – accused of producing and distributing child pornography.

42-year-old John Allen Chumley is accused of photographing a 10-year-old boy, who traveled with him, then distributed the images on the Internet.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Houston says Chumley is also accused of photographing two children in the Houston area, one of which he is accused of molesting.

Chumley was arrested March 15 after an investigation by the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison on the production charges, 20 years for transportation charges and up to 10 years for possession.

He also faces a five years to life on supervised release and could be required to register as a sex offender.
