BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS APPROVE PARKING SPACE REDUCTION REQUEST

All of the special exception requests brought to the Brenham Board of Adjustments during Monday's meeting were approved.

The request to change the City’s Zoning Ordinance to reduce the number of required parking spaces for an addition to DR Central at 1307 US 290 West was approved. Previously 64 parking spaces were required but DR Central will not be adding any more spaces since their request was approved. They will have 31 parking spaces. A second request to reduce the number of required parking spaces was given for storage a facility to be located at 2408 South Market. Originally for storage spaces, there should be 1 space per 1,000 square foot. This storage space would have been required to have 19 parking spaces. Due to the approved request they will only have 5 parking spaces. A request to reduce the number of required parking spaces for renovation at a property owned by Patrick and Deana Murray for a proposed business, Texas Cookery, at 315 South Park Street was also approved during last night’s meeting.

Also approved was a special exception request to change the required 25 foot front-yard setback and a required 10 foot rear-yard setback for renovations of an establishment at 315 South Park Street.
