REPAIRS TO TRAIN TRACKS ON PLEDGER ROAD
Work is taking place on Pledger Road to repair the railroad track.
According to Vincent Hensen with the Washington County Road and Bridge Department, the storm washed out two large culverts that support the tracks. Hensen says that left the tracks with no support, meaning no trains can pass through.
Hensen says the project will take several days to complete.
Hensen added that the department is working furiously to try to get to all the damaged roads in Washington County. He says many have trees down and other damage. And with most of the roads it’s “one way in…one way out.”
He is asking for the public’s patience and the department will get to all the roads as quickly as possible.
