MAN SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS FOR KILLING BRENHAM WOMAN

The man who admitted to killing a Brenham woman at their Spring home in 2014, has been sentenced to 20-years in prison.
25-year old Martin Gaytan was sentenced as part of a plea deal in a Harris County courtroom Wednesday.

Gaytan was arrested in December of 2014 for the shooting death of his wife, Monica Marie Gaytan at their home.
According to police, the two were arguing when the victim allegedly pointed a gun at her husband. He admitted to investigators that he grabbed the gun from his wife and shot her multiple times.
Monica Gaytan is the former Monica Perez and was a 2009 graduate of Brenham High school.
