PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING NEAR FAYETTEVILLE

Saturday afternoon just after 12:30pm Fayette County Sheriff’s office received a 911 call reporting a small airplane had made an emergency landing. The plane landed on Kramr Road near Wecheta Road in a pasture near Fayetteville. The plane was a 1976 Cessna 172 and the pilot advised they located a busted throttle linkage.

Sgt. Ron Naumann and Deputies, Marc Bennett and Garrett Durrenberger responded to the scene and met with the individuals that had landed the plane. The crew were in the area taking aerial photographs. Arrangements were made to have the plane picked up and there were no injuries reported.
