WASHINGTON COUNTY ROTARY CLUB GIVES $35,000 IN DONATIONS

  

The Rotary Club of Washington County awarded $35,000 in donations at its weekly meeting this past Thursday. Checks in the amount of $5,000 each were awarded to representatives from Adam’s Angels Ministry, Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, Brenham Police Department’s K9 training program, Children of the Dump – Nicaragua, Here I Am Orphan Ministries, Miracle Farm and New Beginnings Pregnancy Center.

So far this fiscal year the Rotary Club of Washington County has awarded over $73,000 to charities from proceeds received through the Guntoberfest Raffle and Head for the Hills Bike Ride charity fund raiser events. The club is scheduled to announce scholarship donations next week as part of the club’s more than $82,000 donation schedule.
