CITY OFFICIALS TO MEET AND DISCUSS EXTENSIVE FLOODING
Public Safety Officials will meet this evening (Wednesday) to discuss the extensive flooding that occurred in May. The meeting is being held at the Fireman’s Training Center at 6:00pm. This evening’s meeting will be an expanded session to include elected officials and include what improvements can be made.
Then, tomorrow morning (Thursday), the Austin/Washington County Farm Service Agency will host a meeting concerning USDA programs available to farmers and ranchers affected by the recent flooding.
FSA representatives will provide information on the Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP), Emergency Livestock Assistance Program (ELAP), Emergency Conservation Program (ECP), Non-Insured Crop Disaster Program (NAP), and Emergency Loans.
