WASHINGTON COUNTY FARM BUREAU HOLD ANNUAL MEETING

  

The Washington local chapter of The Washington County Farm Bureau held their annual meeting in at Friedens Church’s activity center on Friday.

President Rodney Dickschat and Vice President Mark Dickschat were reelected. Mary Borgstedte was elected as the Secretary Treasurer. Linda Oberhoff was nominated for another three-year term as County Director. She was first elected in 1993 to replace Lawence Jensen. Jane Wellmann was also recognized and thanked for decades of serving as Secretary Treasurer.

County President Larry Winkelman, Directors Don Wellmann, Linda Oberhoff, and Russell Borgstedte reported on issues regarding Farm Bureau policy that will be voted on at the annual county meeting on September 22nd in Brenham. Issues discussed include the value of being a member the farm bureau, support of the fair, volunteer fire departments and issues facing agriculture producers.
