EARLY VOTING EXPECTED TO TOP PREVIOUS PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

  

The number of people participating in Early Voting in Washington County is expected to top the turnout of the previous presidential election.

On Thursday, 574 voters cast their ballots bringing the total number of early voters to 8,815. The total so far does not include ballots by mail, which are still arriving and have until Election Day to be returned.

In the presidential election four years ago, Washington County saw 9,285 vote early.

Today (Friday) is the last day of early voting statewide. Early voting will take place at the Washington County Courthouse Annex from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. There is reserved parking in front of the Courthouse Annex.

If a voter chooses to vote on Election Day, they will have to go to their regular polling location.  A list is on the county's website at co.washington.tx.us.
