VOTERS HEAD TO THE POLLS TUESDAY

  

voteVoters in Washington County, as well as across the state and across the nation head to the polls Tuesday for the General Election.

In addition to the race for U.S. President, there are several local races on the Washington County ballots:

State Representative for District-13 between Republican incumbent Leighton Schubert and Democratic challenger Cecil Webster.

County Commissioner – Precinct One between Democrat Lewis Houser and Republican Don Koester.

And County Commissioner – Precinct Three, pitting Republican incumbent Kirk Hannath against Democratic challenger Joanne Doherty.

Republican State Senator Lois W. Kolkhorst face unheralded opponent, Libertarian Kathie Stone.

Over 40% of the county’s 22,916 registered voters have already cast their ballots.  9,760 people cast early votes over the past two weeks.

Fifteen polling places will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, including:

101 — Friedens Church activity center, 20322 FM 1155, Washington.

104, 117 and 121 — Washington County Event Center, 1305 E. Blue Bell Road.

109 — St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 8819 FM 2621.

115 — Silver Wings Ballroom, 4100 Highway 105.

203 — Chappell Hill fire station, 5295 Main St., Chappell Hill

205 — VFW Hall, 1200 E. Tom Green, Brenham.

208 and 202 — Salem Lutheran Church, 1500 Salem Road.

307 and 316 — American Legion Hall, 903 N. Park, Brenham.

311 — Sons of Hermann Hall in Gay Hill, 1100 FM 390 West.

312 — St. John Lutheran Church, 6605 Old Independence Road.

320 — Berlin-Mill Creek-Zionsville fire station, 101 Lillie Lange Road.

406, 418 and 419 — Blinn College Student Center, 1007 Walter Schwartz Way.

410 — Burton Community Hall, 13100 W. Washington.

413 — Emmanual Lutheran Church, 6700 Wickel Road.

414 — Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
