NANCY CAROL ROBERTS MEMORIAL LIBRARY GRAND OPENING TODAY

  

The long awaited Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library Grand Re-Opening is happening today (Monday) in Brenham.  

The theme for the library remodel was “Re-Freshed, Re-Newed, Re-Imagined”. The modernized library features a large central room surrounded by smaller rooms.  A media room will allow users to video themselves for job applications or for skype or YouTube. There are also a new children’s area, a genealogy room, and a large program room for meetings and presentations.  There is even an outdoor patio for reading made possible by a grant from LCRA. The new library will offer some of the very latest in technology and will have Chromebook computers that match what BISD uses.

Librarian Andria Heiges says there will be a lot going on during the Grand Re-Opening festivities:

The Grand Re-Opening will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library’s location- 100 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway in Brenham.
